Our Chef
Our Executive Chef, Fred Kirby assumed control of the kitchen in March of 2007 and has an understanding of RiverBank Estate’s style and reputation for fine food and wine. Fred has extensive hospitality experience within Europe and Australia, having trained and worked at several Michelin Stared Restaurants. Along with exclusive 5 Star Hotels in Ireland such as: The Merion Hotel, Dublin The Fitzwilliam Hotel, Dublin Sheen Falls Lodge, Kenmare The K Club Golf Resort (which recently hosted the World famous ‘Ryder Cup’). Upon Fred’s migration to Perth, Western Australia, he commenced work at ‘C’ Restaurant, the ‘Revolving Restaurant in the Sky’. Fred aims to bring his skills, knowledge and experience along with the use of local produce to make innovative and traditional dishes in a contemporary Australian Style. His philosophy towards food is to keep it fresh, keep it simple and simply cook with the basics to enhance and enrich the natural flavours. |
